Quantitative Risk Analysts

Tactical thinkers, quantitative analysts translate long-term objectives into short-term goals. They evaluate model validation and risk measurement, including market, credit, physical, operational and global.

Working within the Risk division and in collaboration with Front Office and R&D, quantitative risk analysts report to the Risk Methodologies department. The department's mission is to ensure that valuation and risk models used within ENGIE Global Markets are relevant, effective and sufficiently comprehensive for risk assessment. The Risk Methodologies department also guarantees that models conform to industry best practices and comply with regulatory requirements.

Quantitative risk analysts work under the supervision of senior quantitative analysts who are responsible for specific subject areas and provide support when needed.

At times, quantitative risk analysts may also take a leading role, for which they will be given limited responsibility for a clear result area , sub-domain, project or customer category. Their strong analytical skills and learning abilities help them to take initiative if and when necessary.

Quantitative risk analysts are team players who can communicate clearly and give constructive feedback. Fluent in English, they hold a Master's degree or its equivalent in a relevant area.
